BetterWorld Partners: Growing with the Support of the MN PROMISE Act
Since 2008, BetterWorld Partners has supported organizations in aligning their work with their mission and values, navigating a complex business landscape, and fostering positive, sustainable workplace cultures. This woman‑owned, Minority Business Enterprise–certified consulting firm has made a meaningful impact across Minnesota.
For its first 15 years, BetterWorld Partners relied primarily on referrals, building its client base through word of mouth and a strong professional reputation. Over the past two years, however, the firm has taken a more intentional approach to growth. This included updating its website, clarifying service offerings, strengthening client relationships, and adopting a new framework called Practice to Progress™.
Practice to Progress™ is designed to help organizations build leadership habits and relational capacity that are both sustainable and effective. BetterWorld Partners’ work now falls into two primary areas: Narrative and Strategy‑Based Consulting and Workshops and Coaching. Narrative and Strategy‑Based Consulting focuses on identity building and clarity for organizations, both internally for teams and departments and externally for fundraising and grant writing. Workshops and Coaching, meanwhile, emphasize individual‑ and team‑based practices such as navigating conflict, fostering inclusion, and strengthening relational capacity.
With support from the Minnesota PROMISE Act, BetterWorld Partners is positioned to continue growing without compromising quality. The grant will be invested in strengthening internal systems and expanding operational capacity, including tools for sales tracking and internal workflows. These investments will allow the firm to scale thoughtfully while maintaining the depth and integrity of its work.
As BetterWorld Partners notes:
“Public investment at this stage creates leverage: stronger systems, expanded capacity, and the potential to create additional jobs and broaden access to high‑quality leadership and culture support for mission‑driven organizations.”
