3. Plaid Session

1. Did you complete a Plaid identity verification session?  

a. Follow the instructions via Plaid (click the link we sent you in your change request) for completing this step. 

b. You can view this 🔗Plaid tutorial for additional help tips.  

c. Enter your phone number 

d. Enter the confirmation code you received via text to complete your verification.

2. Upload the SAME 🪪 State/Federal ID (identification)you previously added to the State/Federal ID section of your application. 

a. Scan the same 🪪 ID (identification) in both places. 

b. Be sure to include the entire ID in the scanned image. 

C. Be sure the scan is CLEAR and not blurry. 

3. Make sure you complete a selfie video. 

a. Follow the instructions in Plaid to complete a short selfie video verification. 

b. When completing the selfie check, a selfie video is required for the purpose of verifying the identity of the applicant.  

c. 🚫 CANNOT ACCEPT selfie photos. Though accepted by the software, selfie photos will not be accepted for the MN Promise Act application. 

4. Additional notes on Plaid 

a. 🚫 CANNOT ACCEPT Poor image quality of the 🪪identification document, such as blur or glare

b. The 🪪identification you ⬆️ UPLOAD to the application portal should be the same ID you completed your plaid verification with.

c. For example, if you used your driver's license for Plaid, you should upload that same driver's license to the application portal. 

5. After you submit your Plaid identity verification session, the web page may continue to show a loading spinner and may not display a confirmation message. This does not indicate that your submission failed. Submit the Support Form through the MN PROMISE Act Contact Us page to confirm that your Plaid session was received by our team. 

Even though this change takes place outside the portal, finish ALL needed changes before you hit ✅ SUBMIT on your application so our team can review the change you created.
