Located in the Twin Cities metro area, Total Wags offers a range of pet services, including training, walks, daycare, and boarding. Diamonds Miller, the CEO and founder of Total Wags, had an abundance of pet sitting experience before deciding to establish her own business.
Four years ago, she pulled the plug and created Total Wags to expand her services and create a safe, loving space for all pets. However, her ambitions do not stop with just her furry clients – she hopes to provide a sanctuary for all animals, including neglected and abused animals.
Diamonds expects to utilize the funds from the MN Promise Act grant to better provide her services and expertise to the greater community. She aspires to make grooming, training, and boarding more affordable to low-income families. Additionally, she hopes to broaden her services such as end-of-life care for elderly animals, service animal training, and host community adoption events. Ultimately, bringing the community closer, one furry friend at a time.
Since receiving the funds, Total Wags has been able to achieve many community-based goals. They have donated resources and support to local animal shelters and organizations. The grant has also helped cover boarding, daily care, and supply costs for their temporary foster care for families navigating through short-term hardships.
In her words, “These funds have helped us continue building a compassionate network that supports both pets and the people who love them. I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to expand our reach and to uplift those who need it most — one family, one pet, and one act of community care at a time.”
