Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Beyond Words Co. creates thoughtful care packages designed to support people through grief, loss, and difficult life transitions. Each package provides comfort, nourishment, and rest for the mind, body, and spirit, offering meaningful support during life’s most challenging moments.
Founder Catherine Hinz started the business after her own experience with grief showed her how overwhelming loss can be, and how traditional sympathy gifts often fall short. This inspired her to design research-driven care packages that offer genuine comfort and practical support, going far beyond a card or flowers.
In addition to serving individual customers, Beyond Words Co. partners with corporations through its Workplace Giving Program, offering custom care and gift packages for welcoming new employees, celebrating life events, recognizing team milestones, showing appreciation, and acknowledging seasonal or holiday occasions.
With support from the MN PROMISE Act grant, Catherine plans to hire additional staff and move into a larger warehouse to expand capacity and continue serving the community.
