Applicant Update: Sept 13th, 2024

Hello friend!

We know you continue to wait eagerly for updates on your grant application. Thank you again for your continued patience. Unfortunately, there have been unexpected delays and an overwhelming number of requests. We have been working closely with the state to implement this complex new funding opportunity.

We will update you as your application progresses to the next stage in the process. Notifications for awards and next-step decisions are being communicated to applicants on an ongoing basis. If you do not hear from our team, you can assume your application is still being reviewed and no further steps are needed at this time.

A few reminders:

  • All application notifications will come via email. Make sure to check the email address you used when applying. If you used multiple emails throughout the process (pre-application, application profile information, and application information) remember to check all inboxes.

  • Note that if you have unsubscribed to any of our emails, you will not receive any further notifications.

  • Always check your spam or junk folders to ensure no messages from us have landed there.

  • For the security of your information, we cannot accept any grant documentation via email. All documents must be uploaded to the grant portal.

IMPORTANT: Protect Yourself from Fraud

You will NEVER be asked (by Neighborhood Development Center, MN Department of Employment and Economic Development, MN PROMISE Act, community partners, or anyone associated with our program) to divulge sensitive financial or personal information via email, phone, or text message. Any document uploads or information will be gathered in the application portal.

You will NEVER be asked (by Neighborhood Development Center, MN Department of Employment and Economic Development, MN PROMISE Act, community partners, or anyone associated with our program) to pay for services related to preparing your grant application or business assistance. Application assistance is available through the Neighborhood Development Center and our community partners (on a first-come, first-serve basis) at no charge

If you are solicited for payment for grant services or asked for personal or financial information via email, phone call, or text message, please alert our team as soon as possible.

We truly appreciate your patience as we work diligently to ensure accuracy and fairness in the review process. Our goal remains to ensure these funds are distributed as quickly as possible to deserving entrepreneurs and communities.

Many thanks,

MN PROMISE Act Team
