7-County Program

Preparations to launch the 7-County (7C) Grant Program are underway. We will add additional information as we work with the State of Minnesota to finalize program guidelines and timeline.

What We Know So Far

  • Eligibility requirements for the 7‑County program will match those of the Minneapolis/St. Paul program. You can review the eligibility requirements https://www.mnpromiseact.org/eligibility.

  • Grant preference points will play an important role in determining which applicant businesses move forward, especially given the limited funding and the large pool of eligible applicants. You can review the grant preference criteria https://www.mnpromiseact.org/grant-preference.

  • There is a $3 million total funding allotment for the 7‑County program. Funding amounts per county are still to be determined.

  • All seven Metro counties will be eligible:

    • Anoka

    • Carver

    • Dakota

    • Hennepin (excluding Minneapolis)

    • Ramsey (excluding St. Paul)

    • Scott

    • Washington

  • The application window will have a defined opening and closing date, unlike the Minneapolis/St. Paul program, which remains open on a rolling basis.
