🎥 Hear about Shantae’s journey with All Washed Up and the impact of the MN PROMISE Act grant.

For 14 years, All Washed Up Laundry Services has proudly served North Minneapolis. “I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of my customers that have supported me for the 14 years of operation,” says owner Shantae Holmes.

Located at 3008 Penn Avenue North, the laundromat is open every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., except Christmas. Shantae shares that the business reflects her personal story. “All Washed Up Laundry Services is a reflection of my life and even customers coming in saying that I’m not dirty no more, and when you come here and wash your items, you won’t be dirty no more either.”

Her goal is to support her community. “I pay it forward to my customers and my community to say, ‘Don’t worry, we have help,’” she adds.

Applying for the Promise Act grant wasn’t easy, but Shantae didn’t give up.

“If you want it bad enough, then you’ll do what you have to do to get it, and you know I did and complied in every way,”

The grant allowed her to make big upgrades.

“I bought a van, I unwrapped it. Yes, yes, I have bought things that would accessorize and complement the new washers that I have. I have bought upgraded carts and stuff with new wheels,”

Shantae also plans to thank her team. “I want to show my staff an appreciation meal,” she says. “They’ve been in the trenches with me, and they deserve a piece of us to sit down and say, ‘Let’s continue to fly high.’”

She closes with heartfelt words:
